Before satellites were launched into space, early cosmologists in Greece (until the Classical Period) speculated that our Earth was flat.
Other groups that believed the same concept include the Iron and Bronze Age civilizations.
One of the first Philosophers to contest the idea of the "Flat Earth" was Pythagoras (Greek Philosopher in the 6th century B.C.)
Aristotle further developed Pythagoras's claim around 330 B.C. Thoughts of a spherical world spread after, until the therory of the Flat Earth was not further developed.
Modern Flat Earth societies are still prominent and releasing information that is pseudoscientific through Social Medias
Pseudoscientific Research is regarded as a collection of practices or beliefs that are incorrect and regarded to be based on scientific method.
I believe the the world is spherical, and not flat. Through numerous satellite launches into space, there is evidence provided that the world does curve.
While some may argue this is a cover up by the Government, I think there is nothing to gain by lying in this scenario. Flat Earthers also provide pseudoscientific facts that
are narrow minded with under-developed theories.
